First Step: Act Quick

The most important thing in getting out a red wine stain is to act quickly! The sooner you act, the better, as this will make stain much easier to remove. As soon as you see the stain, blot the area with a dry, clean cloth to soak up as much of the liquid as possible.

Second Step: Mix Detergent and Water

Mix warm water and a mild detergent together to form a solution. Test the mixture on a hidden part of the fabric to check if it alters fabric's colour. If it does, mix one part white vinegar and two parts water and try again. Dip a cloth or sponge into the solution and dab on the stained area. Avoid rubbing the area, as this could spread stain further. You can also add a few drops of the detergent solution directly on the stain.

Third Step: Use Salt

What usually works best for red wine is salt! Cover the stained area with a thick layer of salt and let it sit for an hour. After that, remove the salt and rinse the area with warm water and then blot it dry with a clean cloth.

Fourth Step: Try White Wine

If all else fails, try using white wine on the stained area. Soak a clean cloth in white wine and dab it on the stain. This should help break down the molecules in red wine. Rinse the area with cold water and repeat until the stain has been removed.

Fifth Step: Soak in Hydrogen Peroxide

Use hydrogen peroxide to remove any remaining stain. Mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts water and put it into a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto the stained area, making sure that it is completely saturated. Let it sit for an hour and then rinse the area with cool water. Repeat the steps until the stain has been removed.

Sixth Step: Use a Fabric Cleaner

If stain still persists, pour a small amount of a fabric cleaner onto the stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse area with cold water and repeat until the stain is gone. You can also use a commercial stain remover to tackle stain.

Conclusion

With these easy steps, you can now easily get red wine stains out of your wrap dress with minimal effort. Remember to act quickly and use right materials to get rid of the tough stain.
