Since wine stains contain tannin, the most important thing to do is to dilute color of stain and prevent it from setting deeper into the fabric. The first step is to take a dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. Blot the stain gently, but don't rub it, as that can cause further damage.
If the stain is still visible, make a mixture of 1 part of dishwashing detergent, with 2 parts cold water. Test this mixture on an inconspicuous area of the voile fabric to make sure it doesn’t affect its color. When you make sure the area holds up well, use the same solution to saturate the stain by applying it from the outside towards center. Next, let the material soak for about 15 minutes and then rinse with cool water. Repeat this process if necessary, and for old stains, use white vinegar.
After removing the stain, use a clean towel to blot the excess water or let the fabric air dry. If possible, avoid placing the voile item in the dryer since heat can set the stain even further.
