Removing Red Wine Stains from Underwear: What You'll Need

  • Gentle laundry detergent
  • OxiClean or a similar oxygen cleaning agent, if you have it
  • A clean, color-safe cloth
  • A bottle of hydrogen peroxide (optional)

Step by Step Instructions

  1. As soon as the stain occurs, run cold water over affected area for 2-3 minutes. This will help prevent the stain from setting.
  2. Using a spoon or dull knife, carefully scrape off any remaining residue from the fabric.
  3. Mix a few drops of gentle laundry detergent with a cup of warm water. Dip a clean, color-safe cloth into mixture and dab the affected area. Take care not to rub, as this may further damage the fabric.
  4. If the stain remains, mix 1 tablespoon of oxygen cleaner with 1 quart of warm water and submerge garment. Soak for 1-2 hours and rinse with cold water.
  5. If the stain persists, try saturating it with hydrogen peroxide, then rinsing and drying in direct sunlight. This should do the trick!

Conclusion

With a little patience and the right supplies, you can get those pesky red wine stains out of your favorite pair of underwear in no time at all!
