Step-by-Step Instructions for Cleaning Wine Stains from Umbrellas
- Rinse the umbrella with cool running water first. This will help get rid of any remaining debris left on the fabric.
- Mix together a solution of one cup white vinegar and one cup warm water in a bowl. Dip your cloth or sponge into the mixture and gently rub the soiled area.
- If the stain persists, try adding a drop of dish soap to the vinegar-water solution. Rub the stained area with the soapy solution, then rinse off with some fresh, cool water.
- If the stain is still visible, try applying a bit of rubbing alcohol directly to the spot. Use a toothbrush to work the alcohol into the fabric, then rinse off with cool water.
- Allow umbrella to air-dry completely before storing away.
