First, use a clean cloth to blot stained area and remove as much of the wine as possible. Do not rub the stain—this might cause it to spread.
Mix equal parts mild detergent, white vinegar, and water in a bowl. Make sure to stir the mixture well.
Dip a clean cloth in the cleaning solution and gently dab it onto the stained area. Be careful not to scrub or press too hard, otherwise you could damage the fabric.
Take a clean cloth and dip it in some cold water. Use the cloth to rinse off the cleaning solution from the stained area.
Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda onto the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with a damp cloth.
Finally, let the tunic air-dry completely before wearing it again. Avoid using the dryer, as heat can set the stain.
Removing a wine stain from a tunic doesn't have to be difficult. With the right tools and just a few simple steps, you can quickly get your tunic looking like new again.
