Cleaning Process

  1. Start by dabbing the stained area with a clean, dry cloth to remove as much of the wine as possible.
  2. Next, mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap with two cups of cool water.
  3. Using a clean, white cloth, blot the stain with the soapy solution, being sure to not rub or scrub the fabric.
  4. Afterwards, dip a clean toothbrush in the soapy solution and gently scrub the stained area for about thirty seconds.
  5. Rinse the stained area with cold water until the soap suds have completely disappeared.
  6. To finish, Repeat steps two through four if necessary.

Other Tips & Tricks

  • If the stain has already set, use a pre-treatment fluid on the stain before you begin cleaning process described above.
  • Some summer sundresses may be delicate and require special handling, so make sure to read care instructions before cleaning.
  • Never use hot water, bleach, or an iron to clean a summer sundress - these can damage the fabric.
