Step 1: Blot the Stain

As soon as you notice the stain, use a paper towel or clean cloth to blot up as much of the liquid as possible. This will help stop the stain from spreading further. Work from the outside of stain inwards – don’t rub though, as this will only spread the stain further.

Step 2: Wet a Cloth and Clean the Stain

Mix a teaspoon of a mild detergent with cool water and dampen a cloth with it. Systems use a gentle, circular motion to remove the stain, and make sure to rinse cloth in between each application. It is important to not get the suede too wet, as it can ruin the material. Once stain has faded, use a damp cloth to remove any soap or residue.

Step 3: Dry and Restore to its Former Glory

Once the stain is removed, use a soft cloth to dry the area and then groom the suede with a stiffer brush or shoe brush to restore it to its former glory. Make sure the area is completely dry first. Don’t forget to also treat the entire item of clothing or piece of furniture with a waterproof spray for protection against future stains.
