Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning Wine Stains from Spandex

  1. Start by blotting the stain with a dry cloth or paper towel to soak up as much of wine as possible.
  2. Mix one part white vinegar with two parts cold water. This will be your cleaning solution.
  3. Soak a clean cloth in the solution and gently rub it onto the stained area.
  4. Allow mixture to sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes, then scrub area gently with a soft brush.
  5. Rinse the area with cold water and then dry with a clean cloth.

Additional Tips & Tricks

  • If the stain is particularly stubborn, you may need to repeat this process a few times.
  • Make sure to only use cold water when rinsing the stained area, as hot water can actually set the stain.
  • If the stain remains after rinsing and drying, apply a little bit of laundry detergent directly to the area and scrub with a brush. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse and dry.
  • If the stain still does not come out, you may need to use a specialized stain remover.
