Step 1: Absorb the Stain

The first step in removing any stain is to try and absorb as much of it as possible. To do this with wine stains, simply place a paper towel over area and blot lightly from the outside edges towards the center. Do not rub the stain as this will only make it spread further.

Step 2: Create a Solution

In a bowl, mix together equal parts white vinegar and water. Dip a cloth into the solution and dab it onto the stained area. Be sure to use gentle pressure and don’t rub the fabric.

Step 3: Blot Stain Away

Once the solution has been applied to the stained area, use a clean cloth to dab away the stain. If the stain persists, repeat the process with a fresh cloth and solution until the stain is completely gone.

Step 4: Air Dry

Once the stain is completely gone, leave the shoes to air dry. This allows vinegar solution to evaporate and helps prevent the stain from coming back.
