Cleaning Wine Stains off Your Slippers is Easier Than You Think

Wine stains can be difficult to remove from fabrics, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying a glass of wine at home. With right supplies and method, cleaning those pesky stains from your slippers is easier than you think.

Supplies Needed

  • Paper towels or clean cloth
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Liquid laundry detergent
  • Cold water

Instructions

  1. Absorb as much of the wine as possible with the paper towels or clean cloth.
  2. Blot the stain with a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol.
  3. Mix liquid laundry detergent with cold water to make a paste.
  4. Apply the paste to the stain and leave for 10 minutes.
  5. Rinse the paste off with cold water.
  6. Air dry.

Tips

  • Always test a cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of the slipper first to make sure it won't cause any damage.
  • It may take a few attempts to completely remove the stain.
  • If stain is not completely removed, try repeating steps 2 through 5.
