You'll need a few items to clean the stain, including white vinegar, some warm water, a cloth, and a dull knife. Make sure materials you use are non-abrasive to ensure no further damage is done to your coat.
Start by using cloth to blot stain. This may help to absorb some of the liquid and make the next steps easier.
In a bowl, mix together equal parts of white vinegar and warm water. This mixture will act as a cleaning agent for the stain.
Using a cloth, apply the mixture to the stain and gently rub it in. You may need to use the dull knife to help break up the stain. Be careful not to use too much pressure, as this could damage the fabric.
Once you're finished scrubbing, rinse the coat in cool water.
Finally, launder the coat in the washing machine, using your regular detergent.
