How To Easily Remove Red Wine Stains From Your Puma Sneakers

We all have those days when an unexpected stain finds its way onto something we love, like our favourite pair of Puma's. But don't worry, it's not all lost. With right know-how and a few household items, that red wine stain needn't spell the end for your beloved shoes.

What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap or laundry detergent
  • Old toothbrush
  • Dry cloth

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Blot the stain with a dry cloth to absorb any remaining liquid.
  2. Mix dish soap or laundry detergent with a few drops of white vinegar and apply directly to stain.
  3. Gently scrub the stain with an old (but clean) toothbrush.
  4. Rinse the soap and vinegar off with cold water.
  5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 until the stain is completely gone.
  6. Let the shoes air dry before wearing them again.

Tips & Advice

  • For leather shoes, check the care instructions included with your purchase before attempting any cleaning.
  • Make sure to regularly clean your Puma’s with warm soapy water and a clean rag to avoid future stains and build up.
  • Be sure to let the shoes air dry completely before wearing them. Otherwise, you may cause further damage to materials by trapping moisture under the fabric.
