When it comes to removing stubborn and difficult-to-remove stains, wine is high up on the list. But just because it's challenging, doesn't mean that it's impossible to clean! All you need is a few simple items from around your home to get rid of the stain and leave your favorite poplin clothing looking as good as new.

What You Need:

  • 2 teaspoons liquid dish detergent
  • 1 quart warm water
  • White cotton towel
  • Small brush (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix the dish detergent and warm water together until they are completely dissolved.
  2. If the stain is still fresh, blot it with a dry white cotton cloth. Do not rub the fabric as this may spread the stain and make it more difficult to remove.
  3. Next, soak the stained area in the mixture for about 10 minutes. Use a small brush to gently scrub the fabric, if needed.
  4. Gently wring out cloth and rinse off any remaining soap.
  5. Finally, blot the fabric dry with a clean white cotton cloth.

That's it! Your poplin fabric will now look good as new, free from any stubborn wine stains.
