The first rule for removing any kind of stain is to blot—not rub—the spill. Rubbing the liquid further into the fabric can cause it to spread and become more difficult to remove.
Mix a solution of one teaspoon of mild detergent and one cup of warm water. Use a mild detergent as a stronger one can damage the mohair.
Using a white cloth or paper towel, dip one corner of it into the cleaning solution and then dab at the wine stain, working solution in until it's completely covering the stain. Do not rub or wipe stain, as this can cause it to spread.
Once the stain is completely saturated with the cleaning solution, rinse area with cold water. If the stain is still present, repeat steps two to four until the stain is removed.
