The first step is to act quickly — the sooner you react, the better the outcome will be. Blot stain with a damp cloth or paper towel, then dab the stain gently with a mild detergent solution. For leather bags, use a specifically designed leather cleaner and follow instructions carefully.

When that’s done, it’s time to treat the stain with a few household ingredients. Start by mixing a solution of one part rubbing alcohol to one part water in a small bowl or cup. Take a cotton swab and dip it into the solution, then use it to slightly dampen the stain. Gently rub the stained area with the swab, then use a dry cloth to pat it dry.

If the wine stain is still there, don’t worry — it’s time for a baking soda paste. Mix together equal parts baking soda and warm water until you get a thick paste. Spread the paste over the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Once the paste has dried, brush it off with a soft toothbrush. This should help reduce the stain’s darkness significantly.

Finally, apply a leather conditioner to keep your Michael Kors bag soft and looking its best. Apply a small amount of the conditioner to a soft cloth and gently work it into leather. Then, let the conditioner sit overnight before wiping any excess away with a dry cloth.

By following these easy steps, you can make sure your Michael Kors purse looks sleek and stylish — no matter how much wine gets spilled!
