Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a clean white cloth or paper towel, immediately blot the stain from your marcella garment. Do not rub! Rubbing the stain can spread it and make it even more difficult to remove. Gently press and dab the cloth onto the fabric to absorb as much of the liquid as possible.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Next, you'll need to pre-treat the stain before washing your marcella garment. Prepare a solution of warm water and a mild laundry detergent (avoid using bleach or any harsh chemicals). Dip a clean washcloth into the solution and gently pat the affected area. Do not rub the fabric aggressively; always use a gentle, circular motion.

Step 3: Rinse

Rinse the pre-treated area by running lukewarm water over it. Be sure to thoroughly rinse away any traces of the pre-treatment solution.

Step 4: Wash and Dry

Wash garment according to the care instructions. For best results, select a delicate cycle and use the coldest water setting that is safe for your particular marcella fabric. After the cycle is complete, hang the garment to air dry. Do not put it in the dryer.
