Red wine can make for an excellent addition to any dinner party or special gathering, but if it’s not cleaned up properly, it can also leave behind pesky and unsightly stains that can be difficult to remove. The good news is, if you’ve found yourself in need of removing wine stains from your linen fabric, there are methods you can use to get the job done right.

What You'll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • Absorbent cloth

Instructions:

  1. Mix together one part white vinegar and one part warm water in a bowl.
  2. Take a clean cloth and soak it in the vinegar and water mixture.
  3. Lay cloth onto the area of linen where the wine stain has been made and press into the fabric.
  4. Leave the cloth on top for about 15 minutes.
  5. Take a fresh cloth and with gentle pressure rub the stained area in a circular motion.
  6. If any part of the stain remains, mix one tablespoon of dish soap and two tablespoons of warm water together.
  7. Take a clean cloth and dip it into the mixture and use it to rub the remaining stain.
  8. Rinse the area with cold water and allow linen to air dry.
