Whether you got a bit clumsy while pouring a glass of wine or simply enjoying it a bit too much, wine stains can quickly ruin an outfit unless you know how to take them out. Luckily, with the right process it's easy to get rid of those pesky stains from your gloves.

What You'll Need

  • Bowl
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Baking soda
  • Sponge

Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain

Mix equal parts of dishwashing detergent and warm water in a bowl and stir mixture until it forms suds. Dip a corner of microfiber cloth into the solution, and use it to rub away at stain. When the cloth is full of dirt, switch it out for a clean corner.

Step 2: Apply Baking Soda

Once the stain has been pretreated, it’s time to apply baking soda. Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the stain. Be sure to cover all areas. This will help the stain to lift and come off the glove material.

Step 3: Clean Stain Away

Take a sponge dampened with warm water and rub it in circles over the stained area. Then, rinse the gloves in cold water. Repeat these two steps as necessary until you’re satisfied with the results.

You can also throw your gloves in washing machine if the stain is particularly stubborn. Just be sure to use cold water and a mild detergent, and avoid putting your gloves in the dryer.

Conclusion

With a few quick and easy steps, you can remove red wine stains from your gloves and keep them looking their best. Just make sure you act quickly and have the right materials nearby.
