When it comes to cleaning wine stains, it's important to act quickly. The sooner you attack the stain, the more likely you are to prevent it from becoming a permanent part of your evening dress. Here are some of the best ideas for getting rid of wine stains:

  • Soak the dress in cold water with a few drops of laundry detergent.
  • Mix a few teaspoons of white vinegar and two cups of cold water. Apply this to the stain and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Make a paste of one tablespoon of cornstarch and one tablespoon of cold water. Rub the paste onto the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.
  • If the stain persists, try using a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. Soak the dress for about 30 minutes and then rinse.
  • If all else fails, you can always take the dress to a dry cleaner and have them professionally clean and remove stain.

Though wine stains can be tricky to remove, the best way to tackle them is to act quickly and use the right tools. Good luck and hopefully, your evening dress will be stain-free in no time!
