Struggling to figure out how to get rid of red wine stains from your dress? It can feel intimidating, but have no fear! There are a few ways to get rid of those pesky bumps and splotches. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to clean red wine from a dress quickly and easily.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Before you start, there are a few items you should have on hand to be successful. Some of the items you will need include white distilled vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent, and a few towels.

Step 2: Blot the Stain Immediately

The first thing you should do when you notice a red wine stain on your dress is to immediately blot the stain with a dry cloth to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. Don’t rub the stain in, instead, dab the stain gently to avoid spreading stain.

Step 3: Mix Up Your Cleaning Solution

Now, it’s time to mix up your cleaning solution. Take one tablespoon of white distilled vinegar, one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and a teaspoon of laundry detergent and mix them together in a bowl. If you don’t have any white distilled vinegar or hydrogen peroxide on hand, you can also use club soda.

Step 4: Apply the Cleaning Solution to the Stain

Dip a clean cloth into the cleaning solution and gently dab solution onto the stain. Do not rub the stain as this will only spread it further. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for at least 10 minutes.

Step 5: Rinse with Cold Water

Once solution has had a chance to work its magic on the stain, rinse the area with cold water. Again, do not rub the area as you rinse it. Blot the area with a damp cloth to rinse away the cleaning solution.

Step 6: Soak the Fabric in Cold Water

Lastly, soak the fabric in cold water for at least an hour. Again, do not rub or wring fabric as this can make the stain worse. After it has finished soaking, rinse the fabric with cold water and dry it with a towel.

Conclusion

And there you have it! With just a few simple steps and items, you can easily get rid of red wine stains from your dress. This quick and efficient process will have you feeling confident and ready for any potential spills life throws your way!
