  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Dish soap
  • Cotton ball or cloth

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Begin by blotting the stained area as soon as possible with paper towels or a clean cloth to absorb as much of the wine as possible.
  2. Mix together white vinegar and baking soda in a bowl until it forms a paste.
  3. Spread the paste over the stain and let sit for 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse off the paste, then mix 2 teaspoons of dish soap into a cup of hot water.
  5. Blot the soapy mixture on the wine stain with a cloth or cotton ball until stain is gone.
  6. If any residual stain remains, sprinkle a generous amount of salt onto the stain and allow it to sit for a few hours.
  7. Once the salt has set, rinse the area with lukewarm water.
  8. Lay the fabric flat to air dry.
