- As soon as you spot the stain, grab a cloth towel, fold it in half, and gently blot the site of the stain with it. Don’t rub or scrub, as this will make the stain much harder to remove.
- Mix two cups of cold water with one tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent in a medium-sized bowl until the detergent is completely dissolved.
- Dip a clean, damp sponge into the mixture, and apply the mixture to the stained area. Move the sponge in small circles.
- Let the liquid soak into the fabric for about 15 minutes.
- Rinse the whole crop top in cold water and then check the stain again.
- If the stain remains, mix two parts baking soda and one part water to make a paste. Apply paste to the stain, let it sit for 10 minutes, and then rinse the area again.
- If all else fails, you can try using a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Make sure to read care instructions on the tag of your crop top before proceeding. Apply a small amount of the alcohol to the wine stain and let it sit for approximately 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with cold water.
