What You'll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Laundry detergent
  • Sponge

Instructions:

  1. Start by blotting the stain with a sponge or paper towel. This will help to absorb as much of the wine as possible.
  2. Sprinkle some baking soda to the stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Mix white vinegar and laundry detergent together in a bowl to create a paste.
  4. Apply the paste on stain with the help of a sponge.
  5. Wait for about 15 minutes for the paste to dry.
  6. Once dry, brush off the baking soda from garment.
  7. Wash the garment as per normal instructions.

Tips:

  • Always wear old rubber gloves while cleaning wine stains to prevent your hands from staining.
  • Before using the paste or any cleaning solution, always test it on an inconspicuous area of the fabric.
  • For tough stains, add some salt to the paste or mix 3 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid.
