How to Remove Red Wine Stains from Converse Shoes Easily and Quickly

Removing Wine Stains from Fabric Converse Shoes

  1. Mix one part white vinegar and two parts warm water in a bowl. You can use a spoon to help stir the mixture.
  2. Dampen a clean cloth or paper towel in mixture.
  3. Blot the stained area of the shoe with the cloth or paper towel until the stain is removed.
  4. If necessary, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone.
  5. Allow the shoe to air dry.

Removing Wine Stains from Leather Converse Shoes

  1. Create a paste using equal parts cornstarch and white vinegar.
  2. Apply the paste to stain using a damp cloth or paper towel.
  3. Leave the paste on the stain for 10 minutes.
  4. Wipe off the paste with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  5. Dampen a separate cloth or paper towel with warm water.
  6. Wipe away any remaining residue with the damp cloth.
  7. Allow shoe to air dry.

Extra Tips

  • Do not scrub the stain or use any abrasive tools.
  • Do not put the shoe in the washing machine.
  • Test the cleaning solution on a small area of the shoe or an inconspicuous part of the sole first before applying it to the stain.
  • For oil-based stains, use a mixture of equal parts dish soap and white vinegar.
