Gently blot the stained area of your chiffon georgette with a clean, lint-free white cloth or a paper towel. Do not rub or scrub the stain as this can cause the stain to set in and be more difficult to remove. If possible, start at the outside edges of the stain and slowly move towards the center.
Dilute a few drops of mild detergent in lukewarm water and test on a small, concealed area of your fabric to make sure it won’t damage the fabric. If it doesn’t, then apply solution to the stained area. Blot the detergent gently with a clean cloth until the stain has been removed.
Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water to remove any residues that could potentially cause future damage. Use a clean cloth to gently blot the area until completely dry.
To completely remove any remnants of the stain, mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water and apply the solution to the affected area. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes, then blot the area with a clean, dry cloth.
Gently hand wash the fabric using a mild detergent and cool or lukewarm water. Let the fabric air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Make sure to read the care labels first before washing.
