The key to successfully removing any kind of stain is to act quickly. Take the stained clothing off and dab the area with a paper towel. If the stain has already dried, dampen area before dabbing away any excess liquid.
Once the area is dry, apply a mild detergent directly to the stain. Let the detergent sit on stain and soak up any of remaining liquid. Once it has had time to soak, rinse away the detergent with cold water.
Fill a sink or bucket with cold water and add a tablespoon of laundry detergent. Soak the stained area for about 30 minutes to help lift any remaining stains. Then, gently rub area before rinsing it thoroughly with cold water.
Once area is rinsed, launder the garment according to the care instructions. When setting the washing machine, select the right temperature based on the fabric type. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat to avoid setting in any remaining stains.
