What You Will Need:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Cloth or brush
  • Laundry detergent

Step 1: Blot the Stain with a Cloth or Brush

Start by blotting the stain with a cloth or brush. Do not rub it. Rubbing stain will only cause it to spread and settle deeper into the fabric.

Step 2: Create a Vinegar-Baking Soda Mixture

In a bowl, mix two parts white vinegar with one part baking soda. Add enough of the mixture to the stain to cover it and let the solution sit for up to an hour.

Step 3: Once Hour is Up, Wash the Clothing

After an hour has passed, remove any excess solution from the fabric with a cloth or brush. Then, wash the clothing as you normally would. Use laundry detergent and the hottest water setting listed on the clothing label.

Conclusion

With these three easy steps, you can get red wine stains out of your activewear. These steps require simple ingredients that you likely already have around the house. Before you know it, those tough stains will be gone!
