As soon as the wine stain appears on your abaya, you should start the cleaning process. First, use a paper towel to gently blot the area and absorb any excess liquid.
After blotting the stain, mix a cup of cold water with a few drops of a mild detergent. Stir the mixture until it forms a light foam. With a soft cloth, apply the solution to stained area in a circular motion.
Once the detergent solution has been applied, rinse the area with cold water. This will help remove detergent from the fabric and also reduce the stain.
If stain persists, combine 1 part white vinegar and 1 part cold water in a bowl. Dampen a cloth with the mixture and gently blot area. Rinse with cold water.
Finally, when the stain is gone, it's time to wash the abaya. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. Make sure to wash items with similar colors together. Hang abaya up to dry in a well-ventilated area.
Removing a wine stain from an abaya doesn't have to be a stressful experience. With a few simple steps, you can quickly and easily clean the fabric and keep your abaya looking beautiful.
