As soon as you notice the stain, take action by quickly blotting the stained area with a clean cloth to absorb as much of the dye as possible. Don’t rub or scrub the fabric since that can actually work the stain deeper into the fabric.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and cool water in a bowl and then apply the mixture directly to the stain using a soft brush. Gently rub solution into the stain, then let it sit for five to 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water.
Mix one teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent in two cups of cold water and use a brush to work the sudsy liquid into the stain. Allow it to work into the fabric for several minutes before rinsing it out with cold water.
Once the stain is gone, machine wash the item with a mild detergent according to the fabric’s care instructions. If you’re really worried about stain coming back, include a capful of distilled white vinegar in the rinse cycle.
Tumble dry the garment, but be sure to check the label first to make sure it's safe to dry the item in the dryer. If the care label says to air dry, hang the item outside on a clothesline in direct sunlight, which can also help fade any remaining stain discoloration.
With a little bit of elbow grease and these simple steps, you can easily get those wildflower stains out of your workwear and have it looking professional in no time.
