When it comes to removing wildflower stains (or any type of stain, really) from your spandex clothing, the best solution is to use a prewash spot treatment. Pre-washing spot treatments work by breaking down the stain’s chemical makeup before it can set into fibers of your fabric. To use this method, start by saturating the area with your pre-wash spot treatment product, being sure to cover the entire stained area. Let the product sit for at least 10 minutes, then gently rub the stained fabric against itself to help break up the stain.

After that, go ahead and begin washing the garment in your washing machine, using your normal detergent. To ensure the stain is fully removed, you may wish to throw in a scoop of baking soda and a couple of cups of white vinegar. This will help to further break down the stain, allowing it to be washed away more easily.

Once your cycle is complete, lay out the garment and check to make sure the stain is gone. If so, go ahead and hang it up to dry. But, if not, repeat the above steps until the stain is fully removed. Keep in mind, though, that some types of wildflowers can leave behind stubborn stains. In this case, you’ll want to take extra care when treating the area and hand-wash instead of machine-washing.

And, there you have it! With these steps, you can keep your spandex outfit looking as beautiful and vibrant as ever—stain free. Good luck!
