Start by gently scraping off the excess flower stains with a spoon or dull knife. Be sure not to rub or press too hard against the fabric, as this could damage the skirt.
After scraping off the excess staining, let skirt soak in hot water for approximately 30 minutes or until the flower stains have completely disappeared. After 30 minutes, make sure to check the fabric regularly to ensure that the stain has been removed.
After the soaking is done, it is time to wash the skirt. First, make sure to read care instructions on your item’s tag. Some fabrics may require gentle handwashing with cold water and a mild detergent, while others might need to be machine-washed using a delicate cycle. If you're unsure, go with delicate cycle.
Once you have finished washing the skirt, shake it out, removing any excess water before hanging it to air dry. Do not put it in the dryer as this may cause fabric to shrink or fray.
If the stain hasn't entirely disappeared after washing, try dabbing remaining residue with a damp cloth and some gentle dish soap. This should remove any lingering spots on the fabric.
Following these steps should help you successfully remove wildflower stains from your skirt. If the stain persists, take the item to a professional dry cleaner who will be able to help you clean it properly.
