Wildflowers are a beautiful addition to any outfit, but their bright petals and bold colors can end up leaving stains on your clothing. If this happens to your Prada, try these three steps to clean and protect your beloved item of clothing.

Begin by taking a damp cloth or sponge and gently dabbing the spot where the wildflower stain is located. Do not rub the area as this could spread the stain. When blotting, try to keep the cloth or sponge as wet and cold as possible. This will help lift away any flower pigment that may be trapped in the threads of the fabric.
Once you have blotted away as much of surface pigment as possible, rinse the affected area with cold water. Using a bit of natural soap or laundry detergent, massage the fabric and gently lather around the stain being careful not to rub too hard against the fibers of the fabric. Rinse until water runs clear.
For deeper staining, try a few specialized cleaning solutions. Start by dabbing a bit of rubbing alcohol on the stain and see if that lifts away any of the remaining discoloration. If that doesn’t work, try applying some enzymatic cleaners and let the solution sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
To reduce the chance of staining in the future, spray all wildflower-bearing items of clothing with a stain guard product. This will create a protective barrier and help prevent further damage.
