If you want to remove stubborn stains from your pillow, you’ll need the following items:
If the stain is fresh, start by blotting it with a clean sponge or cloth and warm water. Be careful not to rub the fabric, as this can cause further damage. Next, dip your sponge into a mixture of liquid detergent and water and dab it onto the affected area.
After applying the detergent, sprinkle some baking soda onto the stain and pour white vinegar over it. The baking soda should react to the vinegar, creating a foamy texture. Allow this mixture to sit on the stain for 15 minutes. If the baking soda does not create a reaction, you may need to add more vinegar.
Once the vinegar and baking soda have had a chance to work their magic, use a damp, clean cloth to wipe away the mixture. Then, apply some hydrogen peroxide to any remaining stained areas, and scrub with a clean cloth or sponge. Finally, wash the entire pillow with a mild soap and cold water.
If none of these methods work, you can try using a dry cleaning solvent. To use, blot stained area with a clean cloth, then apply the solvent to stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse area with cold water and the stain should be gone.
No matter how tough the stain is, you can easily remove it from your wildflower pillows and restore them to their original beauty with the right supplies and techniques. Remember to always take extra care when working with delicate fabrics like silk and velvet, and never rub the fabric when trying to remove a stain.
