Habutai has become a popular fabric because of its beautiful drape and lighter feel. Its delicate nature, however, makes it more prone to stains. Wildflower spills can be especially difficult to remove because the vivid colors tend to stick fast. Luckily, with the right method and simple materials, you can easily remove wildflower stains from Habutai fabric.
When dealing with fresh stains, the first thing to do is to blot the stain using a clean cloth or sponge. Do not rub or scrub at the stain as this can further spread color and damage the delicate Habutai fabric.
Mix equal parts vinegar and mild detergent and apply the mixture to stain. Let mixture sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Next, blot or dab the area to absorb the moisture from the fabric. Repeat the process until the stain is gone.
If the stain persists, spot treat the area with oxygenated bleach. Follow the directions on package, then rinse the area with cold water and allow it to air dry.
