Start by preparing a solution of white vinegar and cold water. Mix 1 part vinegar with 2 parts water into a bowl. Dip the old toothbrush into the mixture and use it to scrub the stained areas of the espadrilles. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes before moving to the next step.
If the stain is still visible after allowing the vinegar and water mixture to sit, then it’s time to try using a stronger solution. Pour a small amount of either nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol onto a soft cloth and use it to dab stain. Make sure to dab and not rub, as this could damage the fabric of the espadrilles.
If the stain remains after using a stronger solution, then it’s time to try using dish soap. Pour a small amount of dish soap onto stained area and use the old toothbrush to scrub it in circles. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing the soap off with cold water.
Once the wildflower stains are removed, make sure to let the espadrilles air dry before wearing them again. After they have dried completely, use a soft dry cloth to wipe away any remaining residue.
Wildflower stains can be pesky, but with the right technique, they can be easily removed from espadrilles. Just make sure to use the correct mixture of ingredients and to take your time when scrubbing the stained areas. With that said, your beloved espadrilles will be looking as good as new.
