Step 1: Act Quickly

If stain is fresh, you will have more success in removing it than if it has had time to set. As soon as you notice a wildflower stain on your clothing, apply a stain remover or some liquid detergent to the fabric before washing.

Step 2: Pretreat

Use a pre-wash stain remover to pre-treat the stain. After applying the stain remover, let the fabric sit for a few minutes before starting the washing process.

Step 3: Wash in Cold Water

Before adding clothing to the washing machine, make sure to check care instructions for your garment and choose the appropriate cycle. Most cotton oxford fabrics can be washed at temperatures no higher than 30°C/86°F and with a mild detergent. After washing, hang the clothing up to dry.

Step 4: Repeat If Necessary

If the stain still persists after washing, you may need to repeat the above steps. Once stain has been removed, it is important to air dry the clothing; putting them in the dryer could set the stains.
