The first step towards removing a wildflower stain from a collared shirt is to identify type of stain. The most common types of wildflower stains include petal stains, pollen stains, and sap stains. Each type of stain requires a different removal method.
Once you have identified the type of stain, you can begin pre-treating the stain. For petal stains, a mild detergent should be used to break apart stain. For pollen or sap stains, a solution of warm water and vinegar can be used to help break down stain. Make sure to use a cloth or brush to gently scrub the solution into the stain before allowing it to soak in for a few minutes.
Once the stain has been pre-treated, the shirt can be washed as usual, using your preferred laundry detergent. If there is still a visible stain after washing, try soaking the shirt in a solution of cold water and oxygen bleach for up to an hour before washing again.
Once the shirt is washed and dried, inspect it for remaining stains. If necessary, repeat pre-treatment and washing steps until stain is completely removed.
