Oil-Based Wildflower Stain Removal

If the stain is oil-based, like most wildflower stains, you’ll need to use an oil solvent. Begin by spraying the stain with hairspray or rubbing alcohol. Let it sit for a few minutes, then blot with a clean towel. Change the towel as the stain lifts and begin to disappear. If the stain still won’t budge, try using rubbing alcohol or commercial pre-wash stain treatment. Just be sure to test fabrics in an inconspicuous area first to make sure product won’t discolor or damage the fabric.

Water-Based Wildflower Stain Removal

If the stain is water-based, begin by blotting the area with a damp cloth to remove the excess. Then, sprinkle a bit of baking soda or cornstarch on the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes. Use a soft brush to work the baking soda or cornstarch into the stain, then brush away. If the stain persists, make a paste of baking soda and water and apply to area. Leave it for several hours, then rinse with warm or cool water. Repeat as necessary.

Common Cleaners for Wildflower Stains

If the above methods fail to remove the stain, you can always try a few common cleaners. Baby wipes, toothpaste, hydrogen peroxide, and nail polish remover are all effective stain removers. Do a spot test ahead of time and make sure they won’t damage the fabric. After you’ve applied the cleaner to the stain, follow up with regular laundry detergent and Hot water to fully “set” stain for removal.

Preventing Wildflower Stains

Once you’ve removed stain, keep your camisole looking great by preventing future stains. Before wearing your camisole, apply a protective spray like Scotchgard. This will help repel water and oil-based stains, including wildflower stains.
