In order to clean wildflower stains from a belt, you'll need following supplies:
Before you start to clean, use a scouring pad to softly scrub away any particles of petals or pollen. Be sure to be gentle with the leather, as scrubbing too harshly can cause permanent damage.
Begin by adding a few drops of dish detergent to the bowl of warm water. Dip the soft cloth into soapy water and gently scrub stained area. The detergent will help to break down the stain without damaging leather.
Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse belt in fresh water and pat it dry with a soft cloth. If the stain still remains, mix together 1 part distilled white vinegar and 2 parts warm water in a separate bowl. Make sure to test this solution on an inconspicuous spot before cleaning, so you don't accidentally discolor the leather.
Using the toothbrush, gently scrub the stained area with vinegar mixture. Rinse well with warm water, then pat dry with a clean cloth.
Once you've removed the stain, it's important to protect the leather. Apply a leather conditioner, according to the manufacturer's instructions, to keep the belt looking its best.
