Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

To begin, you’ll need to gather some supplies: a bowl, a soft-bristled toothbrush, mild liquid dish soap, a clean cloth, and a mild cleaner (like alcohol or white vinegar).

Step 2: Soak in Warm Water and Soap

Fill the bowl with a few inches of warm water and add a few drops of the mild liquid dish soap. Stir the mixture until soap is diluted. Then place barrettes in the bowl, making sure they are completely submerged.

Step 3: Treat Stained Areas with Cleaner

Once the barrettes are soaked, take out one piece and use the toothbrush to scrub any stained areas with the mild cleaner. Use a gentle back-and-forth motion, so as not to scratch the surface of barrette.

Step 4: Rinse and Wipe Down

After scrubbing the stained areas, rinse the barrette off with warm water and wipe it down with clean cloth. Make sure all soap residue has been removed.

Step 5: Dry and Admire

When you are finished cleaning barrettes, gently pat them dry with the cloth and lay them on a flat surface to air dry. Once completely dry, you can admire your newly cleaned barrettes with wildflower stains that are now a thing of the past!
