Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain with Detergent

Start by pre-treating stained area with a few drops of detergent and lukewarm water. Use your finger to work the detergent into fabric, and allow the mixture to sit for about 15 minutes. This helps to break down wildflower stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 2: Soak the Bandana in a Stain Remover Solution

Once you’ve pre-treated the area with detergent, it’s time to soak the bandana in a stain remover solution. You can either create one using a cup of white vinegar and a cup of warm water or purchase a store-bought solution. Soak the bandana in this mixture for at least 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Step 3: Handwash Using a Combination of Baking Soda and Detergent

Next up, it’s time to give the bandana a good handwashing. Mix together two teaspoons of baking soda and two teaspoons of detergent in a bowl filled with cold water. Submerge the bandana completely in the mixture and use your hands to rub the fabric together, agitating the wildflower stain. Keep going until stain has lightened.

Step 4: Air Dry and Check Your Results

Finally, when you’re satisfied with the results, rinse the bandana thoroughly in cold water and then hang it up to air dry. Once it’s completely dried, check bandana for signs of the wildflower stain. If stain persists, repeat the entire process until wildflower stain is completely gone.
