Pre-Cleaning

Before you start cleaning your Angora fabric, it’s important to check the care label so that you don’t damage the fabric while trying to remove the stains. Once you’ve made sure that the cleaning method you’ll use won’t harm the fabric, then you can begin the process.

Remove the Stain

If the stain is fresh, it’s best to rinse it with cold water first. This will help dilute the stain and make it easier for you to get rid of it. For stubborn or older wildflower stains, you may need to use a bit of mild detergent. Start by applying some detergent directly onto the stain and rub it gently into the fabric. Let the detergent sit for a few minutes before rinse it off with cold water.

Dry Fabric

Once you’ve rinsed off the detergent, it’s time to dry fabric. Place the Angora fabric on a clean cloth and pat it lightly until it’s almost dry. If the fabric is still damp, you can use a hairdryer to finish the job. Just be sure to keep the hairdryer at a low setting so you don’t damage the material.

Prevent Future Stains

To prevent wildflower stains from happening again, you should treat fabric with an appropriate protector. This will create a barrier between your fabric and any stains that may come its way. You can find such protectors at most fabric stores. Simply follow instructions on the packaging and you should be all set.
