If the stain from the wildflowers is fresh, begin by soaking the dress in cold water. Simply fill a sink or tub with cold water and submerge the stained portion of the dress. Let it sit for a few hours before taking it out and wringing the excess water out of it. For persistent stains, you may need to repeat this process a few times.
If soaking alone isn't doing the trick, you can try pre-treating the stain with a stain remover. Choose a mild detergent that is designed for delicate fabrics. Apply the detergent directly to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
Using a cotton ball or cloth, dab rubbing alcohol onto the stain. The alcohol will help break down the stain, making it easier to remove. Be sure to dab, rather than rub, the alcohol into the fabric to avoid fading or discoloration.
If the stain is still not coming out, you can try using dish soap. Simply apply a small amount of dish soap onto the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then use a damp cloth to blot the fabric and rinse the area with cold water.
White vinegar is a great natural cleaner and can also be used to remove tough wildflower stains. Simply mix white vinegar with water and apply it to the stain with a cloth. Let it sit for about 30 minutes before washing it with cold water.
