First thing's first; you'll need to gather some supplies before you begin. The following items should help you get the job done:
Once you have your supplies gathered, it's time to start tackling that stain. Begin by blotting (not wiping) the stained area with a soft cloth. This will help to absorb some of the excess wine and the stain will be less visible.
To give your cleaning efforts an extra boost, you can make a cleaning solution by mixing ¼ cup of dish soap, liquid detergent, or laundry detergent with a gallon of warm water. This will create a mixture that can help break down the stain.
Once your cleaning solution is mixed, dip a sponge into mixture and begin gently scrubbing the stained area. After scrubbing, use a soft cloth to wipe away any residue. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
If the stain persists, try adding some white vinegar to your cleaning solution. Vinegar has natural cleaning powers that can break down tough stains. Create a solution of equal parts vinegar and water, dip a sponge in the mixture and apply it to the stain. After a few minutes, rinse window clean with warm water.
Cleaning white wine stains from windows may seem like a daunting task, but if you use the right supplies and follow our steps, it can be done! With a little bit of elbow grease and these simple solutions, you'll have your windows sparkling in no time.
