Instructions

  • As soon as you notice the white wine stain, dampen a cloth or sponge and dab at stain.
  • Avoid rubbing the stain, as this can spread the wine and make it more difficult to remove.
  • If warm water isn’t enough to remove the stain, try using diluted white vinegar or a specific stain remover.
  • For tougher stains, let the stained area soak in a solution of cold water and mild detergent for 30 minutes.
  • After soaking, take the tie and gently rub the stain in a circular motion, adding small amounts of detergent if needed.
  • Finally, rinse tie with cold water and hang it up to air dry.

Tips

  • It is important to treat white wine stains as quickly as possible. The sooner you act, easier it will be to get rid of the stain.
  • Whenever possible, hand washing is always preferable when it comes to removing white wine stains from delicate clothing.
  • Be sure to check the instructions on your detergent before applying it to the affected fabric.

Warnings

  • Never put white clothing containing white wine stains in the dryer, as the heat may cause it to set in.
  • Always test any cleaning product on a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric first.
  • Be sure to follow the instructions on the label of your detergent.
