The key to removing a white wine stain from wallpaper is acting quickly. As soon as you see the stain, grab a paper towel or cloth and start blotting. Do not rub or scrub; this will only push the stain deeper into the wallpaper. Gently dab the area until no more liquid is coming out of it.
Once the excess liquid has been blotted away, the next step is to create a water and detergent solution. Use warm water and a mild washing up liquid or dish detergent in a clean bowl. Dip a cloth or sponge into the mixture and gently apply it to stained area.
Once the detergent solution has been used to clean the stain, rinse the area with a cloth dipped in warm water. Make sure to blot any excess water off the wallpaper before it dries completely.
Finally, use a cloth or paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol to wipe down the area. This final step helps to remove any residual soap and also disinfects the wallpaper.
With these four simple steps, you can easily get rid of white wine stains without damaging your wallpaper. However, if stain is still there after trying these steps, it's best to call a professional for help.
