If you've ever spilled white wine on your tuxedo, you know that it can be a quick and embarrassing disaster at an event. But don't panic! With the right treatment, most white wine stains can be quickly and easily removed.
The first step is to blot the stained area with a damp cloth or paper towel. Gently dab the material against the stain to absorb as much of the spilled wine as possible. Do not rub or scrub stain, as this may spread the stain further.
Once you have blotted the stain, pre-treat the fabric with a stain remover. Choose one specifically designed for whites and follow instructions on the package. Be sure to test the pre-treatment on an inconspicuous area first to be sure it won't damage the fabric.
Once you have pre-treated stain, launder the garment according to manufacturer's instructions. Use hot water and laundry detergent with oxygen-based bleach for best results. If the stain still remains, repeat steps 1 and 2 before laundering again.
Once garment has been laundered, dry it in the dryer on low heat. This will help ensure that all traces of the wine stain are gone.
Never do laundry again. Save time for things you ❤️
