White wine stains on your tent, sleeping bag, and other camping gear are annoying and difficult to remove. However, with just a few household items, you can get rid of them quickly and easily. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Use a damp cloth or cotton swab to absorb any excess liquid.
  • Mix a solution of one teaspoon of mild liquid detergent and two cups of warm water.
  • Using diluted detergent mixture, gently scrub stain with a sponge or clean cloth until the stain disappears. Rinse with clear water to remove the soapy residue.
  • If the stain persists after the first treatment, apply a paste of non-bleaching powdered laundry detergent and water to the stained area. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, then scrub gently before rinsing.
  • For more stubborn stains, use a product specifically designed for tent and camping gear such as Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Repel.

Once the stain is gone, allow the item to air dry. If needed, you can use a clean cloth to help absorb any remaining moisture and speed up the drying process.

Following these steps should help you get rid of stubborn white wine stains on your tent and camping gear, leaving your outdoor gear looking like new!
