When you accidentally spill white wine on your favorite sweater, it can be disheartening. But don’t fret! Here are some tips for cleaning up those pesky white wine stains.
What You Need to Clean A White Wine Stain:
- White wine
- Laundry detergent
- Cold water
- Sponge
- Towels
Instructions:
- As soon as the stain has occurred, blot or scrape off the excess white wine with a dry cloth.
- Mix together 1 teaspoon of laundry detergent with 1/4 cup of cold water.
- Soak a clean cloth or sponge in the detergent mixture, and dab the stained area on the sweater.
- Blot the area until the stain is removed. Do not rub the stained area, as this could cause it to spread and become more difficult to remove.
- Rinse by dabbing the area with a clean damp cloth.
- Allow the sweater to air dry.
If the stain persists after following these steps, it may be necessary to pre-treat stained area with a commercial stain remover before washing sweater.
