With a dry cloth, quickly remove any excess liquid or solid bits of wine. Try not to rub the fabrics too hard, as this can cause additional staining.
Fill a bowl with equal parts white vinegar and water. Dip a cloth in solution and gently dab the stain with it. Let the shoe dry for about 15 minutes.
Take a small amount of laundry detergent and add some warm water, creating a solution. Using an old toothbrush, stir the solution until it’s bubbly, then apply it to the stain. Leave it for 5-10 minutes until soap has soaked through and then rinse with clean water.
Once the shoes are mostly dry, check them for any visible signs of staining. If it’s still there, repeat above steps. You may need to do this several times to completely get rid of the stain.
When you’ve finished cleaning the shoes, allow them to air dry completely. Once they’re completely dry, you can wear them again.
